Our specialists are highly respected in the medical community for their surgical excellence and for providing the very best patient care. Consultations are available at the Mater Medical Centre in South Brisbane and surgical procedures are performed at the Mater Private Hospital Brisbane. GYON is also a tertiary referral base for other gynaecologists and oncologists.
Our team collaborates extensively with international gynaecological oncology centres and local agencies including the Queensland Centre for Gynaeoncological Cancer (QCGC), Translational Research Institute (TRI), QMIR Berghofer Medical Research Institute and Queensland University of Technology. This close collaboration ensures our group remains active in research and clinical trials aimed at improving the current and future care of patients with gynaecological cancers

Our group practice offers a comprehensive, all-female service covering the full spectrum of gynaecological care – from routine outpatient management and benign surgery (including risk-reducing and complex procedures), to borderline tumours, pre-cancerous lesions of the genital tract, and confirmed or suspected gynaecological cancers.
Extensively trained in all forms of surgery, our two gynaecological oncologists, Dr Nim Cabraal, Dr Nisha Jagasia and our general gynaecologist Dr Stacey Davie, aim for minimally invasive techniques wherever possible. By working collaboratively, they ensure that each patient receives a comprehensive diagnosis and personalised treatment as promptly as possible. This group approach also ensures that patients receive seamless and expert care, regardless of their referred specialist.
MEET OUR SPECIALISTS
Dr Nimithri Cabraal
Dr Cabraal is an expert gynaecological oncologist with special interests in minimal invasive surgery, cervical/vulval dysplasia, gynaecological cancer and abnormal placenta. She possesses advanced skills in open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery for gynaecological conditions.
Dr Nisha Jagasia
A highly experienced gynaecological oncologist, Dr Jagasia specialises in the surgical management of patients with confirmed or suspected gynaecological malignancy and complex benign gynaecological pathology. Her special interests are minimally invasive (key-hole) surgery and the use of intra-peritoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for ovarian cancer.
Dr Stacey Davie
Dr Stacey Davie is a caring and compassionate gynaecologist dedicated to supporting women’s health at every stage of life.
Professor Lewis Perrin (Retired)
Commencing practice in 1993, Professor Perrin specialises in the surgical treatment of patients with endometrial, ovarian, cervical, vulval or vaginal malignancies. He has a special interest in minimal access surgery for the treatment of cancerous and non-cancerous conditions.
